the family-run Hotel Walserberg****

Hospitality, tradition and cordiality since 1964

At the beginning there was bread.
In 1964 Vinzenz Walch opened his bakery at the 'Walserberg' in Warth am Arlberg. Within the following years he expanded his bakery together with his wife Ida and built a cafè and guest rooms with running water. This way holidaymakers were already able to enjoy highest comfort in the 60ies.

From the big valley Walsertal to cosy Warth.

In the 80ies the newly in love couple Irene and Thomas Walch moved to the Walsertal. Irene grabbed her hairdresser utensils and opened a hairdressing salon, which she was managing very successfully for 24 years. As time went by the house was extended and became a bed and breakfast and the children Martin, Caroline and Simon were born.

Goal: from bed-and-breakfast to a 4-star hotel.

In order to achieve their goal to become a 4-star hotel family Walch mustered all their motivation, strength, energy and knowledge. They wanted to create a home for guests where nothing is left to be desired. Construction works, renovations and annexes were conducted regularily. The restaurant-pizzeria-cafè was extended, the panoramic wellness oasis was renovated and the rooms turned into design rooms and suites.

As soon as Vinzenz and Ida gave the young couple Irene and Thomas the possibility to work in the hotel, their children also got to know all tasks and duties of a hotel: master baker, hotelier, innkeeper, chef, receptionist, ... Martin, Caroline and Simon - everbody has found his/her own field of competence. Martin - manages the bakery in Lech as master baker. Caroline - manages the reception and is responsible for our special offers such as massages and Pilates. Simon - dedicated himself to the culinary delights of the hotel, leads the service team and is wine connoisseur.
